I am writing to seek your help in connecting with technical and knowledge resources on Sanddorn (Seabuckthorn) in Germany.
I represent a non-profit organization in India called MUSE. It is working with the community in Spiti to develop Seabuckthorn as a sustainable eco-livelihood option. Spiti is a remote high altitude desert region in the Trans-Himalayan belt. It lies on the India-Tibet border. Ecologically very fragile, this region has a long and very cold winter season. The geographical and climatic conditions isolate it from the rest of the world for most part of the year and limit livelihood options. But fortunately Seabuckthorn grows wild in Spiti. It is possibly the highest altitude growing seabuckthorn.
